As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualisation and design to deployment and maintenance. You will work within a dynamic remote team, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organisation. Position Objective
The primary objective of this role is to design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable software applications. You will be responsible for writing clean, well-documented code, participating in code reviews, and ensuring the scalability and security of the systems. Your contributions will directly support the operational efficiency and strategic goals of the supported business.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development & Implementation
Design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities for web applications using modern frameworks and programming languages.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
System Maintenance & Optimisation
Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues in existing applications.
Perform regular code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and optimal performance.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members when required.

Key Selection Criteria

Proficiency in front-end development, specifically with Next.js.
Strong database skills, particularly with PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with managing and deploying applications on Linux servers.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
